By a Thread

This a body of work that explores the fragile and overwhelming nature of anxiety. Each piece reflects how desperation can twist, distort, or fragment both the body and the mind. I wanted to capture the sensation of holding on—barely—while emotions threaten to unravel in unpredictable ways. The figures and imagery shift between humor, horror, and surreal exaggeration, echoing the instability of anxious thought patterns. While some paintings are raw and immediate, others are more deliberate, reflecting the lingering presence of worry that never fully fades. Together, these works create a visual language for the many faces of anxiety, suspended precariously—always by a thread.
